The German Tornister was a pack that was used by the German military during World War Two to carry their low boots, extra shirts, underwear, socks, toiletries, mess kit, shoe brush, great coat, shelter quarter, and blanket. 

This one is a good example that is dated 193(?) with shoulder straps dated 1940. This example does not have any fur (it is not missing, this one just never had any) but is in good condition. The leather is supple with some cracking on the straps, but otherwise still fully functional. The canvas and cotton fabrics are all in good condition with little to no fraying. I only found 1-2 small holes. This is a crisp example of a WW2 Tornister.
