During World War 2, the US and UK agreed on the lend-lease program where the United States would provide equipment, weapons, and ammunition to the British, and in turn, the British would repay the US later. To alleviate some of the cost the British owed, they helped produce many US items for US troops. These items became known by collectors as "British Made" items. The British made anything from canteens, and first aid pouches to certain clothing items.
Offered here is a well-used "British Made" canteen cover. The US marking on the front has since faded away, there are some stains on the cover and the inner lining has some tears. You can barely see the markings on the inside saying "British Made". And on the bottom, there is some paint. The canteen that comes with it is a 1944 dated canteen in good condition.
This is a great item to have in your collection if you collect WW2 US items.
