World War 1 Surplus! This is not something you see very often, items dating from the First World War sold at surplus prices!

The US condiment tin was used by Doughboys in France as part of their mess kits. They would contain coffee, salt, and sugar. The main body was split into two, and the third condiment would be held in one of the caps.

These are in used condition, and all show signs of wear, small spots of rust, and oxidation.

They all are missing the cap that would hold the third condiment. Some are missing both caps while some will have the one cap.
