These caps are the exact same as the ones used by the NVA, with the exception of the markings on the inside. The MDI (Ministerium des Innerns, Ministry of Defense in English) specifically used these caps. The MDI was responsible for the NVA and other military-related matters. 
 
If you are building an NVA impression, these caps will work for it. 
 
These are all in great shape but please expect storage wear, markings, stains, small holes, fraying, and or blemishes.
