Nearly identical to the British variants, this style of rain cape has been used since the Great War. Aside from the markings, the only difference from British rain capes is that the Dutch variants are slightly shorter.
These close via four buttons on the front.
These were made from tightly woven cotton and then coated with a rubber material to keep them water-resistant.
I have worn mine in the rain before and stayed completely dry but since these are over 50 years old, these may not be 100% water resistant as when they were first made.
Not only will it keep you dry, but you can still wear a backpack and keep it dry too. I bet your raincoat can't do that.
These are a one-size-fits-most.
About half of them are relatively stiff, but with continuous wear, they should become more pliable.
Since these are used surplus, please expect staining, fading, and/or fraying. Otherwise, these are all ready to be used.
